The Microsoft Excel Intermediate workshop is a one day class that will see students develop the skills and knowledge required to produce more effective and productive workbooks.

Delivered right here on the Central Coast, the Microsoft Excel Intermediate workshop covers formulas and function techniques, more intricate formatting, setting complex printing options, using intricate charting features and working more effectively with existing worksheets and workbooks. The workshop will also focus on some more advanced features and analysis tools, such as pivot tables, solver and macros.

Who Is This Workshop For

This class is for students who understand the basics of Microsoft Excel, but would like to improve their skills for professional or personal use.

Learning Outcomes

  • Create and use defined names in a workbook.
  • Use a range of lookup and reference functions.
  • Create summaries in your spreadsheets using subtotals.
  • Use data linking to create more efficient workbooks.
  • Construct and operate PivotTables using some of the more advanced techniques.
  • Use goal seeking to determine the values required to reach a desired result.
  • Group cells and use outlines to manipulate the worksheet.
  • Use the macro recorder to create a variety of macros.

Entry Requirements

Students must have successfully completed year 10 (or equivalent), turned 16 or have relevant experience and/or qualifications that indicate likely success in completing the workshop.
