Throughout the course you will gain hands on experience by completing a combination of theoretical and practical training in our on-site beauty salon. You will have the opportunity to perform tasks such as make-up design, manicures, pedicures, waxing, cosmetic tanning, and eyelash and eyebrow treatments for real clients.

Our onsite beauty salon, located in Ourimbah, opened in 2014 with state of the art facilities. The College has since become renowned for producing graduates who possess a range of well-developed technical and customer service skills, so you can be assured you are receiving the highest quality training with Central Coast Community College.

Who Is This Course For
This course is for students who have already completed the SHB40115 Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy.

What to Bring To Class
In order to successfully complete this course, beauty students will need to purchase a professional make-up kit, brush set and uniform tunic for $290 (valued at $878) from the College. These will be yours to keep at the conclusion of the course. Alternatively, students may choose to use the professional make-up kit, brush set and uniform tunic they purchased during the SHB30115 Certificate III in Beauty Services / SHB40115 Certificate IV Beauty Therapy course.

Please also bring a pen, paper and folder to class. All other course resources will be provided for you.

About The Trainer
Alyson is the Beauty Coordinator for the College and is also the trainer for this course! Ally has extensive salon management experience having owned and operated her own beauty salons on the Central Coast over the last 14 years. She also has substantial training experience educating therapists from a Certificate III level up to completing their Diploma of Beauty Therapies. She is passionate about educating people to become inspiring therapists and to also empower people re-entering the workforce by helping to develop their self-confidence and lead them into careers within the beauty industry.

Before You Enrol
Unique Student Identifier
A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is like an account number, made up of letters and numbers. It will enable access to your training records and results, through your computer, tablet or smartphone, anywhere, anytime. You’ll also be able to see, send or print out your training records when applying for a job or further training.

Each time you enrol with a new training provider, your USI will be required so that they make sure your records and results are placed into your account. You only need one USI number for all of your training – and it’s yours for life.
